I’m April Vokey, fly fisher, outdoorswoman, casting instructor, podcaster, membership coordinator for Anchored Outdoors, mother, world-traveler, DIY enthusiast, and master of dirty jokes.
My journey in the fly fishing world has been one of passion, dedication, and unwavering advocacy for the sport. As a toddler, I was engrossed in the pursuit—meticulously assembling my tackle box with an array of lures and baits, and by my late teens I discovered fly fishing and knew it was something I had to do every day.
Over the years, I’ve been humbled by talented anglers and a supportive community that eventually drove me to start Anchored Outdoors, an online membership platform that has been my most fulfilling venture to date!
