What to Expect

During our Fly Fishing 101 event, you’ll dive into the culture and techniques of fly fishing. Led by expert instructors and guides, you’ll learn everything from equipment usage to stream craft, fly tying, casting, and packing essentials for trips. All equipment, meals, accommodation, guiding, and instruction are included. Arrive Friday, 29th November (optional) with check-in from 4 pm, and join us for a 6 pm dinner at the local pub if you wish. On Saturday, 30th November, start with a continental breakfast, followed by equipment and casting lessons. After lunch, enjoy fishing on the river, then have dinner at the 3 Blue Ducks (meal and drinks not included) and stay overnight in luxury accommodation at Nimbo Fork Lodge (included). On Sunday, 1st December, wake up to stunning valley views and breakfast before a full day of guided fishing by boat on the Tumut River. Lunch by the river is included, and the adventure concludes back at Nimbo Fork Lodge, with the option to book additional nights.
