If you’ve read my first Iceland Blog, you’ll know that I have fallen in love with Iceland, it’s Atlantic salmon, and it’s hilarious residents (Rabbi).
So, a month later I teamed up with fellow Fly Max Films (www.flymaxfilms.com) hosts and brothers Naoto and Yoshi Aoki to head back to the “land of ice” to fish our asses off and capture it all on tape.

    For our 10-year wedding anniversary, Charles and I decided to celebrate in a way that reflected our shared passion—fly fishing in one of the world’s most spectacular locations. We booked a trip to Poronui Lodge, nestled in New Zealand’s North Island, for an early-season week in November.
    When I was younger, images of the classic fly-fisher casting a graceful rhythm of neon fly line would tickle my imagination and fill my head with visions of gently flowing streams and perfectly silent afternoons. I would close my eyes, comforted by the imaginary yellow glow of the sun warming
    If my brain were a storage unit, it would be one without walking space, stacked with hoards of cluttered paraphernalia. That's how it feels right now anyway, unorganized and overwhelmed, elbowing my way in & around my own thoughts. I blame it on Roderick Haig-Brown. See, last year I had
